A vest for baby A

I had another baby shower today that my church's group puts together.  It was a nice time to get in some adult conversation for a couple of hours.  Plus who can resist seeing pint size clothing?  I made this particular baby boy a vest.

I love how you can unbutton the one side and slide it on the baby rather than bother with pulling it over the new baby boy's head.  This was a nice straightforward pattern that shot off the needles quickly.  The pattern suggested DK weight yarn, but after several mistrials with some gauge swatches - I realized that the 800+ Ravelers before me were probably a good indication that this was not correct.  I then switched over to worsted weight and wouldn't you know it, I got the right gauge off the bat.
Pattern:  Pebble by Nikol Lohr
Needle:  US 7
Yarn:  Caron's Simply Soft in Grey Heather
